• Seller contact information (name, phone, WhatsApp number, email)
• Inquiry details (name, phone, message) when you enquire about a property
• Report details (name, contact, reason) when you report a listing

• Page views and property listing views (anonymised count only)
• General location (country/city level) via server logs
• Browser type and device type (for technical compatibility)

2. How We Use Your Information

• To display property listings to interested buyers
• To facilitate contact between buyers and sellers via WhatsApp
• To review and moderate submitted listings for quality and safety
• To respond to enquiries and reports
• To improve the platform based on usage patterns
• To comply with applicable Sri Lankan law

3. What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell your personal data to third parties
• We do not display advertising or allow advertisers to access your data
• We do not collect NIC, passport, or sensitive financial documents
• We do not store payment card information - no payments are processed on Wathkam
• We do not publicly display seller email addresses

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS in Singapore) with encryption at rest and in transit. We apply row-level security policies to ensure each user can only access data they are authorised to see. Images are stored on Supabase Storage with CDN delivery.

While we take reasonable precautions, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use strong, unique passwords for any accounts you create.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Withdraw consent for optional data uses at any time

6. Cookies

Wathkam uses strictly necessary cookies for session management and authentication. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. If you use Google Analytics (optional, configured separately), their cookie policy applies.

7. Third-Party Services

Wathkam uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Supabase - Database, authentication, and storage
• Vercel - Website hosting and delivery
• WhatsApp (Meta) - Communication facilitation

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with the new date. Continued use of Wathkam after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
